A Very Merry Christmas!

Our first Christmas as "the Drapers" was special and simple.  We are fortunate to have both of our families in the same city...alternating holidays would be difficult for me! This year we started with the Draper side. And what better place to share this holiday than at my brother and sister-in-laws new home.

Jennifer and Peggy love to cook.  Look at this feast they made for us!

My sisters and cousins are very important to me.  Getting together with them is one of the reasons I look most forward to holidays.  I hope that Tyler, Carly and Jack will continue to feel this way too.

This kiddos had lots of hugs and kisses to share with their mommas!

Uncle Brent was Santa this year.....best looking Santa I've seen!!!

Brent showing off gifts for his buddy Koukla bear

In all actuality, Mimi should have worn the Santa hat.....lots of gifts for her munchkins!!

Peggy holding one of her gifts from us, pictures from the wedding.  Brents brother always jokes about the time when Brent gave Peggy a framed picture of himself.....we just figured we keep the tradition going!

 The wonderful hosts

This year was a little different at the Sleder household as my mom was on call.  On Christmas Eve we got together at my parents for a little gift giving followed by brunch on Christmas Day.
My sisters and I are OBSESSED with the "apple pancake"  We first discovered it while living in Atlanta and it has now become our favorite holiday main course!

Yiayia and Papou were relaxing while mom did the cooking. I love this picture of them!

My beautiful Yiayia
Behind my Papou is a painting of his father.  Do you see the white fire place he is standing in front of? My Papou built it himself.

 Merry first Christmas Mr. Draper!!

Wishing you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Love,

The Drapers

Introducing Mr. and Mrs. Baker!

Brent and I had a great weekend celebrating the marriage of Katie and Drew! I am so excited to fill you in on their Big Fat Greek Wedding! At the reception, Drews best man said that people traveled from over 20 different states to share in the special event...a wonderful reflection of the two lovely people that married if I do say so myself.  I apologize in advance for the quality of the pictures....I took my small camera which obviously didn't take as good of pictures.

The wedding took place at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church.  Doesn't the alter look incredible?

Katie was the most beautiful and calm bride ever! She smiled non stop the entire weekend...it was evident that she was on cloud 9!

Brent and I waited to see each other before the wedding and so did Katie and Drew.  That was a very special moment for Brent and I and I will never forget the way he looked when he saw me for the first time as his bride.  This is Drew, as he first saw Katie.

Finally, joining hands at the alter after a long awaited day of not seeing each other!

First steps as husband and wife

A perfect example of the glowing bride!
The service was so beautiful! Chanters sang for the entire service and there were three priests that came to perform the service...a huge honor!

Mom and Dad looking good at the reception. Can you see the cool balcony? It wrapped all the way around the building!

My cousin Marina and I

Everyone danced ALL night! DJ GLO sure knows how to kick off a party!  I wish my camera had worked so I could have captured special moments like Brent "greek kicking" or the groomsmen dancing with shot glasses on their head.

Brent and I all dressed up

Still get excited to see my new last name!

Brent and the Groom!

Katie and Drew now share an anniversary with my aunt and uncle...Happy Anniversary Keith and Elaine!

Congratulations to the Mr. and Mrs! We hope you love life as the Bakers!

By special request

I have never done two blog posts in the same day before, but I have had several requests to post more pictures from our wedding day.  Since I have nothing to do tonight...I figured I'd do just that!

Also, here is a sneak peak of our wedding video filmed by Maura with Creative Video.  We are so excited to see the final product!
